Policies & Guidelines

Our policies are designed to provide a safe, consistent, and transparent experience for every family.

πŸ• Hours of Operation

  • Days: Monday through Friday
  • Drop-off: 8:30 AM
  • Pick-up: By 5:30 PM
  • We are closed on weekends and major holidays (see below).

πŸ“… Holiday Closures (2026)

  • New Year's Day β€” January 1
  • Memorial Day β€” May 25
  • Independence Day β€” July 3–4
  • Labor Day β€” September 7
  • Thanksgiving β€” November 26–27
  • Christmas β€” December 24–25
  • New Year's Eve β€” December 31

Holiday closures are shared in advance. Tuition remains the same for weeks with holidays.

πŸ€’ Illness Policy

To protect all children, please keep your child home if they have any of the following:

  • Fever of 100.4Β°F or higher
  • Vomiting or diarrhea
  • Contagious rash or infection
  • Persistent cough or runny nose with colored discharge
  • Pink eye or other contagious conditions

Children must be symptom-free for 24 hours (without medication) before returning. If your child becomes ill during the day, we will contact you for prompt pick-up.

πŸ’Š Medication Policy

  • All medications must be in original containers with the child's name
  • Written authorization from a parent is required
  • We will only administer medication as directed on the label or by a doctor's note

⏰ Late Pick-Up Policy

  • Pick-up is by 5:30 PM
  • A 10-minute grace period is provided
  • After 5:40 PM, a late fee applies
  • Please call us immediately if you are running late
  • Repeated late pick-ups may result in a policy review

πŸ’° Payment Policy

  • Tuition is due weekly on Monday (or the first day of the week)
  • Payment can be made via cash, check, Zelle, or Venmo
  • A two-week notice is required for withdrawal
  • Tuition is charged at the full weekly rate regardless of absences or holidays

πŸŽ’ What to Bring Daily

  • A full change of weather-appropriate clothes
  • Diapers and wipes (if applicable)
  • Comfort item for nap time (nap mat, stuffed animal)
  • Sunscreen (labeled with child's name)
  • A packed lunch from home

Please label all items with your child's name. We provide breakfast, a PM snack, and all activity materials.

🚫 Items to Leave at Home

  • Toys from home (unless for show & tell)
  • Candy, gum, or outside food (unless for allergies)
  • Electronics or devices

🀝 Behavior & Discipline

We use positive reinforcement and redirection. We never use physical punishment. Our approach includes:

  • Encouraging children to use words to express feelings
  • Redirecting behavior to appropriate activities
  • Modeling kindness, sharing, and respect
  • Communicating with parents about ongoing behavioral patterns
